Fair of the ancient fruits at Paderna Castle

This is where we went on saturday, it was a nice day and we enjoyed it so much.
I was astonished by the beauty of the castle, it's near Piacenza in the north of Italy, It's dated ninth century and it's an organic farm today, somehow...
Look at the pics, click to enlarge.

The flowers that I bought, amazing colours!

Spelt salad with capers and olives .... VEGAN! Incredibile.

Looks like great fun! And how cool to find a vegan lunch while you were there!

What a beautiful way to spend the day. I love the fact that the castle was turned into an organic farm.

In response to your comment on my blog, the peanuttiest blondies don't actually have a thick chocolatey layer. I think there just happened to be a bunch of chocolate chips on that slice and I took the picture shortly after taking them out of the oven so they were still a little melty. They are super delicious and I would definitely recommend making them. However, be careful of the time because I find I have to take mine out about 10 minutes early (even though they don't seem done) because otherwise they get too hard and crispy. I like them soft, like brownies.
